Cookies Policy

Welcome to Our Cookies Policy

This policy explains how Name Combiner uses cookies, local storage, and similar browser technologies. We use these technologies for website operation, browser-local tool features, and Google Analytics 4 measurement.

Name Combiner does not currently run Google AdSense, Mediavine, Ezoic, Google Ad Manager / ADX, or another advertising network, so we do not currently use advertising-network cookies for personalized ads.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small values that a website or third-party service can store in your browser. They can support security, preferences, sessions, or measurement. Websites can also use related technologies such as local storage, which some Name Combiner tools use to keep favorites or small preferences on your device.

Cookies are not automatically copies of everything you type into a website. The names and words entered into our generators are designed to be processed in the browser and do not need to be stored in a cookie simply to create results.

2. Technologies We Currently Use

Essential and Security Technologies

Our hosting or security infrastructure may use technical storage when reasonably necessary to deliver pages, protect server routes, prevent abuse, or keep requested functionality working.

Google Analytics 4 — Active

Name Combiner uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for general website measurement. Our measurement ID is G-2SVS7KVX5H.

Google Analytics may set or read analytics cookies or similar identifiers and may process information such as page views, page titles, referral source, broad device and browser details, session and engagement information, approximate location derived from technical data, and other Analytics events configured on the website.

We use this information to understand which pages and tools are useful, identify technical or navigation problems, and improve the website. Google processes Analytics information under Google's own terms and privacy practices.

Functionality and Local Storage

Some Name Combiner tools use local storage for saved favorites or small preferences. This lets information remain available on the same browser without writing those favorites to our project database as part of normal tool use.

Advertising Cookies Are Not Currently Used

We are not currently serving ads through AdSense, Mediavine, Ezoic, ADX, or another advertising network. If advertising is enabled later, we will update this policy to identify the services and cookie purposes actually in use.

3. Why We Use These Technologies

  • To deliver and protect the website and server routes.
  • To keep browser-local favorites or preferences where a tool supports them.
  • To measure general traffic and engagement through Google Analytics.
  • To identify broken pages, navigation problems, and performance issues.
  • To understand which tools and pages visitors find useful.

4. Google Analytics and Third-Party Processing

For the provider's explanations, read Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses cookies. Our Privacy Policy describes the wider handling of website and contact information.

Google Analytics is a third-party measurement service provided by Google. Analytics cookies and related identifiers can be used to provide traffic and engagement reports. The exact cookie lifetime, data retention, and measurement behavior depend on Google Analytics and the configuration used on Name Combiner.

Our hosting and security providers may also process technical request information necessary to deliver and protect the website. Our Contact form uses a server-side email system and does not depend on advertising cookies.

5. How to Control Cookies and Browser Storage

The Google Analytics opt-out add-on is one provider-supplied option for supported browsers. It has its own scope and limitations and should be reviewed alongside your browser settings.

Most modern browsers let you:

  • View and delete cookies for a specific website.
  • Block third-party cookies or all cookies.
  • Clear local storage and other site data.
  • Use private or incognito browsing.
  • Adjust tracking-protection and privacy settings.

Blocking or deleting storage may prevent saved favorites or other browser-local features from persisting. Browser menus change over time, so use your browser's current privacy or site-data settings for the latest controls.

6. Duration and Retention

Some technical values last only for a browser session, while others can remain until they expire or you delete them. Local-storage favorites remain until they are removed by you, the tool, or the browser.

Google Analytics cookie lifetimes and Analytics data retention follow the settings and behavior of the GA4 property configured for Name Combiner.

7. Consent and Regional Privacy Requirements

Privacy and cookie rules vary by location. Some jurisdictions require consent before optional analytics or other non-essential technologies are stored or accessed. Essential technologies needed for security or a service you request may be treated differently under applicable law.

Where legally required, Name Combiner should provide appropriate consent choices for optional measurement technologies. Browser privacy controls remain available regardless of location.

8. Privacy Signals, Children, and International Visitors

Browsers may provide Do Not Track, Global Privacy Control, or other privacy signals. There is no single rule governing every signal in every jurisdiction. Name Combiner does not currently run a personalized-advertising network or sell personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Name Combiner is a general-audience website. Hosting, email, security, and Analytics providers may process technical information in countries different from your own, subject to their services and applicable law.

9. External Links and Embedded Services

For general advertising privacy choices when visiting other websites or using apps, Google explains its advertising technologies and offers advertising settings. The Digital Advertising Alliance provides WebChoices for participating browser advertising services and AppChoices for supported apps. The Network Advertising Initiative explains how to opt out and what an opt-out mechanism means. These resources have their own coverage and requirements; linking to them does not mean Name Combiner uses those advertising providers.

Our pages may link to third-party websites. A normal external link does not by itself allow that destination to place cookies before you visit it. If we add embedded third-party media, widgets, or services later, those providers may use their own technologies under their own policies.

10. Updates to This Cookies Policy

We may update this policy when our Analytics configuration, consent tools, browser-storage features, hosting, advertising status, service providers, or legal requirements change. We will revise the Last Updated date when material changes are made.
